Margaret Wagner

Margaret Wagner began photographing flags after discussions with Melissa Shook in September of 2001. This project has allowed her to reconnect with the immediacy of photography and participate in the building of an important cultural document.

Margaret Wagner earned her BFA from the University of Iowa and her MFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she teaches all levels of digital imaging. She has been actively involved in the recent Boston Cyberarts Festival and has participated on several panels and lectures addressing digital imaging. Wagner's artwork has been exhibited in many venues across the United States, including Soho 20 Gallery in New York and Mobius Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts
